  1. Title and number of openings: One opening for faculty member, as full-time or contract faculty.
  2. Professional expertise:
  1. School Guidance or Counseling Psychology.
  2. Priority for applicants who have teaching experiences of EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) courses or who have application experiences of generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) in course instruction.
  1. Educational and Research Background:

1. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree or an equivalent academic qualification from a domestic or international university.

2. Applicants for the position of Full-time Faculty (novice teachers with a doctorate degree are excluded) must meet one of the following qualifications:

(1)Being the first or corresponding author of at least two published articles within the past three years in journals listed in SCI, SCIE, SSCI, TSSCI, EI, A&HCI, THCI (originally THCI Core before 2016) or academic journals of SCOPUS.

(2)Leading at least two research projects sponsored by the National Science and Technology Council during the past three years.

(3)Publication of at least one book or monograph within the past three years; review comments and proof of publication should be provided.

  • The aforementioned journal articles and research projects funded by the National Science and Technology Council may offset one another.
  • “Novice teachers with a doctorate degree” refers to individuals who obtained their doctoral degree within two years prior to the first date of our department’s public announcement, excluding the period of mandatory military service for males.
  1. Newly appointed contract faculty members shall possess the same qualifications as their full-time counterparts of the same rank at NTNU. Except for novice teachers with a doctorate degree, applicants for the position of Contract Faculty must meet one of the following qualifications:

(1)Being the first or corresponding author of at least two published articles within the past three years in journals listed in SCI, SCIE, SSCI, A&HCI, EI, TSSCI, THCI (originally THCI Core before 2016).

(2)Being the first or corresponding author of at least one original academic article published within the past three years in a journal ranked in the top 5% of its field by Impact Factor.

(3)Publication of at least one book or monograph within the past three years; review comments and proof of publication should be provided.

2. Copy of relevant documentations (e.g., diploma of doctoral degree, academic transcript, teaching certificate or other license, and other proofs of expertise experiences)

3. Publications (the full text files) in the past 3 years (i.e., 2023/9- 2026/9)

  1. For full-time faculty: According to the “NTNU Newly Appointed Distinguished Talent Incentive Regulations,” newly appointed full-time faculty members will receive certain amount of incentive for at most three years, based on their academic performance. Full-time faculty members at NTNU may apply for the annual flexible salary incentive in accordance with the “NTNU Distinguished Talent Incentive Regulations.” In addition, our department selectively assists outstanding candidates in applying for the Yushan Young Scholars Award.
