Doctoral Degree Program

Degree Requirements

      The doctoral degree programs has the following specializations (in admission and in teaching): Educational Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Assessment Technology, as well as Educational Psychology and Counseling taught in English. Be noted that transfer to other specializations is not allowed after admission. Please read the latest admission requirements carefully before applying. 

The minimum number of credits required for graduation under each academic structure is as follows:
1.    Educational Psychology: The minimum number of credits for graduation is 24.
2.    Counseling Psychology: The minimum number of credits for graduation is 26, and the students will be qualified for taking the counselor licensure examination after graduation.
3.    Assessment Technology: The minimum number of credits for graduation is 24, including 6 credits of cross specialization electives (no restriction on the courses , except the courses in the field of statistics and research methods.)
4.    Educational Psychology and Counseling Taught in English (for the admission of international students only): The minimum number of credits for graduation is 18.

Above all, only students who have graduated from the counseling psychology program are eligible to take the exams for a counselor license.
